Locum Tenens Physician - Gastroenterologist Needed in GA

Job Description

Our client in Georgia is seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist Physician for a 120-day assignment, beginning Jul 1, 2026. This role involves comprehensive daytime inpatient coverage from 7:30 am to 4/4:30 pm, complemented by night call. The Physician will be responsible for inpatient rounds, managing consults, performing essential ERCPs, and expertly handling night call phone inquiries.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide daytime inpatient coverage with night call.
• Conduct rounds, handle inpatient consults, and perform ERCPs.
• Perform up to 6-7 procedures per day on the busiest of days.
• Collaborate with experienced APPs who assist with consults when the Physician is in the OR.
• Manage night call, primarily fielding phone calls with no actual callbacks.
