Job Description

Our client in Washington is seeking a dedicated Hematologist/Oncologist Physician for a 96-day assignment starting Jun 8, 2026. This role involves managing new patient appointments, developing comprehensive treatment plans, conducting follow-up consultations, and collaborating with an AOCNP. You will typically work 8-hour shifts daily, providing essential care to a diverse patient population within a clinic setting.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Responsible for all new patient appointments and treatment plan development
  • Conduct follow-up patient meetings
  • Collaborate with the AOCNP on staff
  • Manage a patient load of 10-16 per day, allowing for 30-minute visits with established patients
  • Care for a diverse patient population, including new referrals, established patients, and those on active treatment or surveillance across all disease stages


Additional Information

  • Required Board Certifications: Hematology and Medical Oncology
  • EMR: Cerner
  • The clinic operates as a single oncology provider practice
  • A full lab is available onsite for all laboratory needs
  • The main cancer center is located 15 minutes away, featuring a full-time Hem/Onc MD, an AOCNP, and 7 infusion chairs with onsite chemo mixing
