Locum Tenens Physician - Hospitalist Needed in NY

Job Description

We are seeking a Hospitalist Physician for a 15-day assignment in New York, starting Jul 9, 2026. This role involves providing nocturnist coverage from 7p-7a, handling admissions from the emergency department, managing inpatients, performing physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and making treatment decisions within a not-for-profit community healthcare facility. Experience in an ICU setting is required for this role.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide 7p - 7a nocturnist coverage.
• Admit patients from the emergency department.
• Manage inpatients.
• Perform physical exams.
• Order diagnostic tests.
• Interpret test results.
• Make treatment decisions.
• Possess required ICU experience.

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Hospital Medicine required.
• Proficiency with Epic EMR system.
