Job Description

We are seeking an Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 7-day assignment in New York, beginning Oct 20, 2026. This role involves comprehensive patient care, including hospital advocacy, home visits, and extensive triage. The practitioner will manage cases related to preventive medicine, annual physicals, weight management, diabetes, kidney stones, and cancer prevention. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Thursday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Go to the hospital to advocate for hospitalized patients.
  • Perform home visits as needed.
  • Handle much of the patient care over the phone, with in-office visits for physical needs such as administering antibiotics.
  • Manage a low patient volume, seeing approximately 1-3 patients per week from a panel of around 300 total.
  • Provide care in preventive medicine, annual physicals, weight management, and chronic conditions like diabetes and kidney stones.
  • Coordinate cancer prevention efforts, including full-body MRI coordination and blood work.
