Locum Tenens Physician - Nephrologist Needed in KY

Job Description

Our client in KY is seeking a skilled Nephrologist for a 7-day assignment starting May 11, 2026. This role involves Monday-Friday 8a-5p shifts with light call, focusing on general nephrology cases and managing approximately 10-15 patients per day.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive general nephrology care
• Manage 10-15 patients per day
• Work Monday-Friday, 8a-5p schedule
• Participate in light call
• Address cases of high blood pressure affecting kidneys
• Manage kidneys affected by diabetes
• Diagnose and treat blood or protein in urine
• Oversee care for kidney/renal failure
• Manage polycystic kidney disease and inflammation of kidneys
• Provide dialysis and home dialysis care, with APP assistance
• Treat kidney stones
• Manage high or low potassium levels

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Nephrology required
• Experience with Meditech EHR preferred
