Locum Tenens Physician - OB/GYN Needed in Alabama

Our client in Alabama seeks an Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician for a 90-day assignment. This role involves managing a schedule that includes one weekend (Friday 7am - Monday 7am) per month, with a minimum of three consecutive days of coverage, and up to ten days of availability monthly. Responsibilities include 24-hour call with up to six hours of daily facility rounding, managing a variety of obstetric and gynecological cases, performing deliveries, and accepting attached and ER patients, including underserved individuals.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform amniocentesis.
• Conduct routine vaginal and low forceps deliveries.
• Make decisions for and perform C-sections, including complicated deliveries.
• Round on patients daily, accepting attached and ER patients, including underserved individuals.
• Manage GYN emergencies during ER call.
• Provide care for low risk and high risk pregnancies.
• Perform FHR interpretation, including NST/CST/FSE.
• Execute and interpret OB ultrasounds for Level I/Screening (viability) and Level II/Targeted (anatomic).
• Robotic GYN surgery experience is preferred.
