Job Description
Our client in California is seeking an experienced Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician for a 60-day assignment starting Apr 20, 2026. This role involves comprehensive call coverage, including weekend 24-hour shifts and Monday-Friday 14-hour shifts at a birthing center. The Physician will be responsible for managing emergency room calls, deliveries, and providing physician presence for approximately two deliveries per on-call shift.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide 24-hour call coverage for the Emergency Room and deliveries at the birthing center.
- Manage 1-2 calls from the ED and approximately 5 calls in OB per shift, requiring physical presence.
- Handle approximately 2 deliveries per on-call shift that require physician presence.
- Work 2 weekend 24-hour call coverage shifts per month (Saturday and Sunday).
- Cover 6 Monday-Friday 14-hour call coverage shifts at the birthing center per month.
Additional Information
- Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required.
- EMR: Cerner.
