Locum Tenens Physician - Optometrist Needed in MT

Job Description

Our client in Montana is seeking an experienced Optometrist for a 240-day assignment starting Aug 31, 2026. This full-time role involves providing comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages, including routine exams, contact lens fittings, and the management of various ocular conditions, with a consistent schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages
• Perform comprehensive eye exams
• Conduct contact lens fittings and provide training
• Manage and monitor ocular conditions such as diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, and dry eye
• Diagnose and treat acute eye conditions like red eye, conjunctivitis, and foreign body removals
• Co-manage post-operative care for cataract and LASIK patients
• Offer vision therapy and low vision services
• Provide urgent eye care for conditions including flashes, floaters, and eye pain
