Job Description

We are actively seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Surgeon for a dynamic 15-day locum tenens assignment in Missouri, starting May 25, 2026. This role offers flexible scheduling, with the client open to discussing various preferences beyond the current arrangement of one day per week split between clinic and surgery. Responsibilities include managing 20-25 patients on clinic days and performing 4-5 surgeries on designated surgery days, with a focus on post-operative follow-ups.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct 20-25 patient encounters on clinic days
  • Perform 4-5 surgeries on dedicated surgery days
  • Manage post-operative follow-up care for patients
  • Handle a variety of general orthopedic cases including open and closed fractures, arthroscopy, hip, knee, ankle, shoulder, meniscus repair, ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, and injections (no inpatient procedures)
  • Address hand-related cases such as fracture fixation, tendon repair, nerve repair, replantation, carpal tunnel release, trigger finger release, and arthritis surgery
