Job Description

Our client in Ohio is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Hospitalist Physician for an approximately 180-day assignment beginning Jun 17, 2026. This role involves 24-hour in-house shifts, from 8AM to 8AM, focusing on comprehensive care for newborns in a special care nursery, attending C-sections, and managing inpatient pediatric cases and consults. The physician will work within a physician-only model, with neonatologist support during the day and on call at night, providing critical services without consecutive shift requirements.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Rounding on newborns in a special care nursery
  • Reporting for all C-Sections
  • Seeing Inpatient Peds and consults
  • Providing in-house coverage for 24-hour shifts (8AM-8AM)
  • Managing well and sick babies
  • Managing pediatric and pediatric psychiatric admissions
  • Stabilizing premature babies
  • Performing Vent management
  • Performing Circumcisions
  • Performing Intubations
  • Performing Thoracentesis
  • Performing Chest Tube Placement
  • Performing Lumbar Puncture
  • Administering Surfactant
  • Performing Arterial Blood Draws
  • Managing UAC/UVC
  • Performing Needle Decompression
  • Managing CPAP
  • Attending deliveries and C-sections


Additional Information
