Our client in Georgia is actively seeking a Psychiatrist for a 50-day locum tenens assignment, commencing on May 14, 2026. This role involves working in an inpatient Behavioral Health unit with daily rounds from approximately 8 AM to 4 PM, including 24-hour call where after-hours responses are handled remotely via phone. The Psychiatrist will focus on general psychiatric disorders, substance abuse, and managing both voluntary and involuntary admissions in an adult-only unit.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Work in an inpatient Behavioral Health unit.
• Take 24-hour call, with after-hours responses handled remotely via phone.
• Conduct daily rounds from approximately 8 AM to 4 PM.
• Manage an inpatient adult unit (ages 18 and up only), a 28-bed unit.
• Address general psychiatric disorders, conditions, and substance abuse.
• Handle occasional medical comorbidities.
• Be comfortable with voluntary and involuntary admissions.
