Job Description

We are seeking a Psychiatrist for a 100-day assignment in Georgia, starting Jul 6, 2026. This role involves an ongoing 7on/7off schedule, with inpatient rounds and admissions Monday-Thursday, and 24-hour call Friday morning through Monday morning, within an inpatient Behavioral Health unit.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work in an inpatient Behavioral Health unit, performing rounds each morning Monday-Thursday.
  • Handle admissions and consultations for adult patients, ages 18 and up.
  • Manage a unit, addressing general psychiatric disorders, substance abuse, and occasional medical comorbidities.
  • Be comfortable with voluntary and involuntary admissions and daily rounds.
  • Provide 24-hour call coverage from Friday morning (7am) through Monday morning (7am) for each 7-day stretch.
  • Perform overnight phone-only call on Wednesday nights from 5pm-8am the following morning.
  • Supervise Residents and collaborate with Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners.
  • Maintain an ongoing 7on/7off schedule.

  • Experience with voluntary and involuntary admissions is essential.
