Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Urgent Care Needed in CA

Job Description

We are seeking an Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 30-day assignment with our client in California, starting May 22, 2026. This role involves providing UC FQHC basics, addressing rural health aspects, and managing multiple patient complaints within 15-minute appointment slots. The schedule includes Friday from 8am to 5pm and Saturday from 10am to 2pm, focusing on primary care for all ages, predominantly adults.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide UC FQHC basic care.
• Address rural health aspects in patient interactions.
• Manage multiple patient complaints, with 3+ complaints each visit possible.
• Conduct patient appointments within 15-minute slots.
• See patients of all ages, primarily adults, for primary care needs.
• Perform minimal primary care procedures, as full scope procedures are handled by other providers on site.
