Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Cardiovascular & Thoracic Needed in OH

Job Description

We are seeking a Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner for an 80-day assignment in Ohio, commencing on Jul 6, 2026. This role involves both 7a-5p day rounding and 5pm-7am call shifts, where you will manage routine cardiothoracic cases including CABG, valves, complex aorta, lobectomy cases, and VATS.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide 12-hour night call or day rounding, with shifts either 7am-5pm for rounding or 5pm-7am for call.
• For call shifts, remain within a 30-minute range from the hospital if local; nearby hotel accommodation will be provided if not.
• Anticipate a 7% chance of being called in, with most calls manageable over the phone.
• Expect to be called in approximately once every ten shifts.
• Manage routine cardiothoracic cases, including CABG, valves, complex aorta, lobectomy cases, and VATS.
• Perform occasional ECMO cases, excluding advanced heart failure, VAD, or transplant cases.
• Conduct endoscopic vein harvesting utilizing the Maquet Hemopro 2 system.
