Job Description

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a focused 3-day assignment, commencing Jul 4, 2026, in North Carolina. This vital role involves providing comprehensive solo Emergency Room coverage, working dedicated 12-hour shifts. The Physician will manage a dynamic patient flow, typically seeing 18-20 patients per 12-hour shift, with robust support from two mid-level providers, ensuring efficient and high-quality patient care in a busy environment.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide standard solo Emergency Room coverage.
  • Work 12-hour shifts.
  • Manage an open ICU.
  • Collaborate with two mid-level providers for split coverage.
  • Typically see 18-20 patients during a 12-hour shift.
  • Utilize 24-hour support services including Anesthesia, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, and Radiology.
  • Do not receive newborn deliveries in the ED.


Additional Information

  • Required Board Certification: Emergency Medicine
  • EMR system utilized is Meditech EHR.
  • An L&D department is available.
