Job Description

We are seeking a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner to join our client in Virginia for a 48-day assignment starting May 1, 2026. This role involves performing physical exams, ordering diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, developing treatment plans, and treating acute and chronic illnesses, with a schedule of Friday and Monday from 9 AM to 5 PM.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform physical exams, order or perform diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop treatment plans.
  • Treat acute and chronic illnesses, including common family practice cases such as colds, coughs, hypertension, UTIs, STIs, and sports physicals.
  • Manage urgent care-type visits, including lacerations, minor injuries and trauma, suturing, and ingrown toenail removal.
  • Occasionally conduct women’s health cases, such as Pap smears.


Additional Information

  • EMR system utilized is Practice Fusion.
  • On-site services include X-ray, ultrasound, and a full laboratory.
  • Scheduled shifts are Friday and Monday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
