Job Description

Our client in Maine is seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 4-day assignment, commencing May 31, 2026. This role features 8am-1pm shifts, focusing on comprehensive family practice for all ages, including wellness checks. A critical component involves supporting EMS calls, which may require rescheduling appointments to attend to medical emergencies.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide care for all ages and types of ailments
• Conduct wellness checks
• Support our EMS Crew on every emergency call
• Respond to 911 medical emergencies via pager
• Ride to the mainland with patients for transfer to another ambulance or drop-off at the ER
• Transportation may involve ferry, boat, or small plane during emergencies
• Exercise discretion to reschedule appointments as needed when called out for emergencies
