Job Description
Our client in California is seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician for a 40-day assignment starting May 25, 2026. This role involves delivering comprehensive outpatient care, assessing and diagnosing patients with multiple comorbidities, and conducting wellness exams as part of an integrated care team. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, focusing on managing patient panels and treating a wide range of conditions within a primary care scope.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assess and diagnose patients experiencing multiple comorbidities and conduct wellness exams and check-ups.
- Deliver comprehensive outpatient care across primary care scope including acute, chronic, and preventive services.
- Manage patient panels with a focus on underserved and diverse populations.
- Diagnose, treat, and develop care plans for a wide range of conditions.
- Perform routine procedures such as exams, minor office procedures, and basic diagnostics.
- See mostly Internal Medicine cases, including diabetes, hypertension, COPD, and physical examinations.
- Handle standard primary care needs and some walk-ins for common ailments like cold, cough, and flu.
- Utilize translator apps as necessary to communicate effectively with patients who do not speak fluent English.
Additional Information
- Board Certification in Family Medicine
- EMR: Epic
- Experience with FQHC or IHS populations is highly valued
- Comfortable using translator apps for patient communication
- Strong empathy and patience when working with underserved populations
- Women's Health experience is a plus
