Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - General Needed in GA

Job Description

Our client in Georgia is seeking a General Surgery Nurse Practitioner to begin a 91-day assignment starting Aug 3, 2026. This role involves assisting surgeons in the OR across various specialties, managing approximately 10 patient encounters per shift during 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM shifts. Duties will primarily focus on non-urgent procedures in general surgery, orthopedics, Ob/Gyn, urology, and ENT.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assisting surgeons in the operating room on surgical cases across multiple specialties.
• Collaborating with the surgical team, including surgeons, scrub technologists, circulating registered nurses, and CRNAs.
• Managing approximately 10 patient encounters per shift.
• Focusing primarily on scheduled non-urgent procedures.
• Prioritizing General Surgery cases, with additional responsibilities in Orthopedics, Ob/Gyn, Urology, and ENT.

Additional Information

• Board Certification in General Surgery is required.
• The facility utilizes the Epic EMR system.
