Job Description

Our client in Georgia is seeking a dedicated General Surgery Physician Assistant for a 148-day assignment starting Aug 5, 2026. This role involves assisting surgeons exclusively in the operating room with non-urgent surgical cases across various specialties, including general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, urology, and ENT, with no outpatient clinic duties or call expectations. Cases may occasionally extend beyond 5pm.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform surgical assisting duties exclusively in the operating room.
  • Support surgical cases across various specialties including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Urology, and Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.
  • Collaborate with a surgical team typically consisting of a surgeon, scrub tech, circulating RN, and CRNA.
  • Manage a daily census of 10-30 scheduled non-urgent cases per week, with an average of 90-110 weekly cases.
  • Adhere to a schedule that may occasionally extend past 5pm.
  • No outpatient clinic responsibilities.
  • No call is expected.
