Job Description

Our client in Tennessee is actively seeking a General Surgeon for a 5-day assignment commencing Jun 17, 2026. This vital role involves 24-hour call shifts from 7 AM to 7 AM, where you will be performing a comprehensive range of general surgery procedures. Duties include adult cases, colonoscopies, and umbilical hernia repairs, contributing to patient care in a dynamic surgical environment.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform general surgery procedures, with adult cases, colonoscopies, and umbilical hernia repairs explicitly required.
  • Manage approximately 2-3 patients per shift within a department.
  • Opportunities may include a variety of advanced procedures such as laparoscopic surgery (Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Hernioplasty, Nissen Fundoplication), head/neck surgery, chest wall/pleural procedures, breast surgery, OB/GYN surgery, liver surgery, GI endoscopy, minor orthopedics, hand surgery, ventilation management, chest tube insertion, central line insertion, vascular surgery, and plastic surgery.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Surgery is required.
  • Experience with Medhost EMR system is utilized.
  • Fellowship preferred.
