Job Description

Our client in New York is actively seeking an Internal Medicine Physician Assistant for a 7-day assignment beginning Oct 20, 2026. This role involves a consistent weekday schedule focused on comprehensive patient care, including essential home visits, hospital advocacy, and managing a diverse range of conditions from preventive medicine to chronic disease management. The Physician Assistant will primarily handle triage and in-office physical needs, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Advocate for hospitalized patients by conducting on-site visits.
  • Perform home visits for patients as needed.
  • Manage patient triage, including in-office care for physical needs such as antibiotic administration.
  • Provide comprehensive care in preventive medicine, annual physicals, weight management, diabetes, kidney stones, alcohol withdrawal, and cancer prevention, including coordinating diagnostics.


Additional Information

  • EMR: Athena 1
  • Manage an extremely low patient volume, typically 1-3 patients per week, within a panel of approximately 300 patients.
  • Work schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Thursday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
