Job Description

Our client is actively seeking a skilled Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician Assistant for a dynamic 91-day locum tenens assignment in Colorado. Commencing May 1, 2026, this role involves consistent 8am-5pm shifts. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload, focusing heavily on both low and high-risk pregnancies, performing C-sections, and delivering essential office and surgical gynecological care.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage low risk pregnancies, including patients with pre-existing problems, history of twins, toxemia, pyelonephritis, and hyperemesis.
  • Manage high risk pregnancies, including patients with toxemia, diabetes, Class II or higher Cardiacs, chronic lung problems, and chronic renal disease.
  • Interpret FHR (Fetal Heart Rate) via NST/CST/FSE.
  • Perform and interpret Level I/screening (viability) and Level II/targeted (anatomic) OB ultrasounds.
  • Conduct routine deliveries, including vaginal, low forceps, and decision-making for C-sections.
  • Manage complicated deliveries such as C-sections, breech presentations, multiple births, and abruptions.
  • Perform VBACs (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean).
  • Repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations.
  • Provide office and minor gynecology services, including IUD insertion, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP procedures.
  • Assist with surgical gynecology procedures.
  • Perform C-sections as required.
