Job Description

Our client in Wisconsin is actively seeking a Physician specializing in Medical Oncology for a compelling 65-day assignment, set to begin on Jul 20, 2026. This vital role involves managing a diverse caseload of oncology and hematology patients, encompassing both new consultations and follow-up appointments. The schedule will typically run from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with the potential for inpatient rounding as needed to ensure comprehensive patient care.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage a mixed caseload of approximately 85% oncology and 15% hematology patients.
  • Provide care for conditions including breast, lung, colorectal, prostate, pancreatic, gynecologic, head & neck, and melanoma cancers.
  • Address hematologic conditions such as lymphoma, leukemias, multiple myeloma, MDS, and benign hematology.
  • Order and manage chemotherapy, including toxicity management for IV and oral therapies.
  • Oversee immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormonal therapy.
  • Perform bone marrow biopsies/aspirations.
  • Manage central lines (Port-a-Cath, PICC).
  • Address oncologic emergencies promptly.
  • Participate in tumor boards and multidisciplinary case reviews.
  • Provide growth factor support and manage blood transfusions.
  • Conduct inpatient rounding as required.
