Job Description

Our client in PA is seeking an experienced Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 30-day assignment beginning Aug 1, 2026. This role involves 12-hour in-house shifts, either AM or PM, within a 38-bed Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, where you will provide acute care for 4-8 patients per APP. You will be responsible for a variety of critical care duties in a dynamic pediatric setting.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide acute care to patients within a Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.
  • Perform advanced procedures including arterial, central venous, and chest tube placement.
  • Conduct endotracheal intubation and lumbar punctures as required.


Additional Information

  • Required Board Certifications: Acute Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC).
  • EMR System: Epic.
  • Shift Details: 12-hour in-house shifts, available for either AM or PM rotations.
  • Unit Structure: Work within a Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, typically managing 4-8 patients per Advanced Practice Provider, supported by a team of 4 APPs during the day and 3 APPs at night.
