Job Description

We are seeking a Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Physician Assistant for a 40-day assignment in Florida, starting Aug 3, 2026. This role involves 12-hour shifts, covering either day (7am to 7pm) or night (7pm to 7am) rotations, within a Pediatric Cardiac ICU. The Physician Assistant will manage high-acuity cardiac cases and stat-level patients in a fast-paced critical care setting.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work 12-hour shifts, covering either day (7am to 7pm) or night (7pm to 7am) rotations
  • Operate within a Pediatric Cardiac ICU at a leading childrens hospital
  • Manage a patient census of 11–12 per shift with high-acuity cardiac cases
  • Manage all stat-level patients in a fast-paced critical care environment
  • Collaborate with experienced cardiac intensivists and specialized ICU staff
  • Provide care for Transplant Center, STAT 1-5 cases, EP & Cardiac intervention cases


Additional Information

  • Required Board Certifications: Acute Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC)
  • EMR: Epic
  • Experience with VADs, heart transplants, and neonates s/p Norwood procedure is preferred
