Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Urgent Care Needed in TX

Job Description

We are actively seeking a dedicated Urgent Care Physician Assistant for an impactful 24-day assignment in Texas, commencing Jun 6, 2026. In this vital role, you will operate as the sole provider, expertly managing a comprehensive range of urgent care cases and procedures. The demanding yet rewarding schedule includes shifts from 8am to 8pm, Monday through Friday, and 8am to 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Timely chart closure by the end of each shift is a key expectation for this dynamic position.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Be prepared to handle all urgent care cases and procedures with no clinical training provided.
• Serve as the sole provider during shifts.
• Ensure all patient charts are closed by the end of your shift.
• Manage a wide variety of urgent care cases.
• Perform in-office procedures common in an urgent care setting, including I&D, sutures, foreign body removal, and toe nail removal.
• Potentially provide occupational medicine services, such as workplace injury evaluations and drug testing.
