Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Urgent Care Needed in TX

Job Description

Our client in Texas is seeking an Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 48-day assignment starting Jun 5, 2026. This role requires a self-sufficient provider to manage all urgent care cases and procedures, working as the sole provider during shifts. The schedule offers flexibility with both AM (8am-4pm) and PM (3pm-11pm) shifts available.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage all urgent care cases and procedures independently, as no clinical training is provided.
• Operate as the sole provider during shifts.
• Ensure all patient charts are closed by the end of each shift.
• Treat a broad range of urgent care cases.
• Perform in-office procedures including incision and drainage (I&D), sutures, foreign body removal, and toe nail removal.
• Address occupational medicine services such as workplace injuries, evaluations, and drug testing at some locations.
