Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Urgent Care Needed in TX

Job Description

Our client in Texas is seeking a Physician Assistant - Urgent Care to begin a 60-day assignment on Jun 10, 2026. This role involves working independently, often as the sole provider, handling a range of urgent care cases including basic urgent care needs and various in-office procedures during 8 and/or 12-hour shifts. This assignment requires a provider ready to immediately contribute to patient care without clinical training.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive urgent care services, including basic urgent care needs and complex in-office procedures.
• Perform in-office procedures such as incision and drainage, sutures, foreign body removal, toenail removal, and laceration repair.
• Operate as the sole provider, managing all urgent care cases and procedures independently.
• Ensure all patient charts are closed by the end of each shift.
• Potentially provide occupational medicine services including workplace injury evaluations and drug testing.
