Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Wound Care Physician Assistant for a 2-day assignment in California, commencing Jun 5, 2026. This role involves a dynamic mobile provider model, conducting comprehensive wound assessments and management across various skilled nursing, long-term care, and post-acute rehab facilities. The schedule guarantees a minimum of 5 hours of pay per day, focusing on independent clinical practice with strong interdisciplinary team collaboration.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform comprehensive wound assessments, including wound staging (pressure injuries stages 1–4, unstageable, deep tissue injuries), measurements, and etiology identification.
  • Conduct photographic documentation to track wound progression and evaluate skin integrity.
  • Identify signs of infection, necrosis, or delayed healing in patients with various conditions such as diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, immobility, and chronic illness.
  • Regularly treat diverse wound types, including pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, venous stasis ulcers, arterial ulcers, surgical wounds, traumatic wounds, skin tears, and infected wounds.
  • Operate within a mobile provider model, traveling between skilled nursing, long-term care, and post-acute rehab centers.
  • Engage in independent clinical practice while collaborating closely with Directors of Nursing, facility nurses, attending physicians, interdisciplinary care teams, and rehab staff.
