Job Description

Our client in CO is seeking a dedicated Physician specializing in Medical Oncology for a 265-day assignment beginning Jul 20, 2026. This role involves comprehensive patient care from diagnosis to treatment, focusing on solid tumor and benign/malignant hematology cases, with a consistent Monday through Friday 8a-5p schedule.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Diagnose diseases, injuries, and other conditions using appropriate measures such as history, physical exam, and diagnostics.
  • Provide or prescribe appropriate treatment.
  • Communicate treatment options to patients, address concerns, and answer questions with a patient-centered approach.
  • Utilize expertise to prevent illness and injury.
  • Document accurately and completely in the medical record for continuing care, compliance, quality, safety, and billing.
  • Provide leadership and feedback to the clinical team.
  • Consult with colleagues and refer patients to other sources of care when clinically appropriate.
  • Be available for office visits, phone calls, electronic communication, and on-call coverage as outlined.
  • Participate in organizational efforts for continuous improvement in quality, safety, and patient experience.
  • Engage in continuous learning and self-improvement.
  • Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
  • Perform additional duties as defined by specialty.
  • Prescribe chemotherapy.
  • Oversee inpatient service with Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support.
  • Manage a shortened outpatient clinic schedule with APP and Nurse Navigation Support.


Additional Information

  • Board Certifications: Hematology, Medical Oncology
  • EMR: Epic
  • Required Skills: Excellent oral and written communication, respect for patient confidentiality, compassionate and approachable demeanor, responsible and trustworthy approach.
  • Experience in a Trauma facility.
  • Interventional Radiology (IR) performs bone marrow biopsies.
  • No specific procedures required for this role.
