Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Oncologist for a 240-day assignment in Kentucky, starting Aug 2, 2027. This role involves a Monday through Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm, with options for full-time or a minimum of three days per week. The Physician will manage a patient load of approximately 15 per day, including 1-3 inpatients, focusing on a 60% hematology and 40% oncology mix, providing comprehensive care from diagnosis to treatment plan development and management of various therapies.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage an average of 15 patients per day, including 1-3 inpatients.
  • Maintain a patient mix of approximately 60% hematology and 40% oncology.
  • Provide coverage Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, with options for full-time or a minimum of three days per week.
  • Conduct typical consults and follow-up appointments.
  • Ensure strong communication with patients and their families.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients suffering from hematological disorders and cancers.
  • Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy.
  • Monitor patient response to treatment and manage side effects.
  • Adjust care plans as necessary based on patient progress.
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic testing.
