Job Description

Our client is actively seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician for an engaging 120-day locum tenens assignment in New York, set to commence on Jun 1, 2026. This vital role will involve overseeing advanced practice providers, delivering comprehensive routine care, conducting rounds, managing patient medications, and performing detailed charting. The successful Physician will also collaborate with the MAT program and handle a diverse range of cases, operating on a consistent shift from 7:00am to 3:30pm.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supervise 5 staff APPs; no collaboration needed
  • Provide scheduled appointments and routine care
  • Conduct rounding
  • Manage medication
  • Perform charting and notes in the EMR system
  • Conduct referrals out for severe cases
  • Work in conjunction with the MAT program and team to care for those in recovery for drug and alcohol recovery
  • Address cases including hypertension, diabetes, asthma, COPD, routine physical exams, chronic pain management, preventive care and screenings, minor injuries, infections, acute GI issues, eye/ear infections or injuries, and wound care and follow-up

  • Board Certification in Family Medicine required
  • Typical shift hours are 7:00am - 3:30pm
