Job Description

Our client is actively seeking a dedicated Physician specializing in Family Practice for a 60-day locum tenens assignment starting Jun 22, 2026, in Pennsylvania. This role involves daily sick call rounds, managing physicals and emergency consults, and handling a variety of bread and butter cases, with shifts running from 7:30am to 4pm. You will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive medical care and maintaining accurate patient charting within the facility.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct daily sick call rounds in the morning
  • Perform restricted housing unit rounds once per week
  • Manage physicals, emergency consults, and admissions consults
  • Address bread and butter cases, including cold, cough, flu symptoms
  • Perform sutures and splinting
  • Maintain accurate patient charting
  • Review EMR queues
  • Analyze lab and x-ray results


Additional Information

  • Required Board Certification: Family Medicine
  • Shift Hours: 7:30am - 4pm
  • Case Mix: Geriatric cases within long term care units, IV treatments, oxygen management, general medical cases including sutures and splinting, treatment for cold, cough, flu, bronchitis, and pain.
  • Responsibilities include sick call rounding, medication management, preventative health clinics, chronic care management, and intake evaluations for new inmates.
