Job Description

Our client in California is actively seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist for a 17-day assignment starting Jun 1, 2026. This Physician role involves clinic or procedures Monday through Friday, with night and weekend call for general and ERCP cases. The Gastroenterologist will primarily cover a 7am to 4pm shift, addressing a significant backlog of scopes and performing various upper GI endoscopy procedures.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform clinic duties and medical procedures Monday through Friday, 7am to 4pm.
  • Handle night and weekend call responsibilities for general and ERCP cases.
  • Conduct ERCP procedures as a primary duty.
  • Address a substantial backlog of scopes, including upper GI endoscopy.
  • Execute a range of upper GI endoscopy procedures such as biopsies, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeding sites, and banding of varices.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification required in Gastroenterology.
  • Experience with Epic EMR system.
  • ERCP expertise is a mandatory requirement.
