Job Description

We are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist Physician for a 20-day assignment starting Jul 10, 2026, in Ohio. This role involves 15-hour night coverage from 5pm-8am, focusing on inpatient pediatric care, including admissions, rounding on the general pediatric floor, ED consults, and responding to calls from the newborn nursery.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide 15-hour night coverage, managing approximately 5-6 admissions per 24 hours.
  • Care for 10-12 inpatient pediatric patients.
  • Respond to calls from the newborn nursery at night (starting 5pm), including potential H&P requests; newborn rounding is not required.
  • Perform lumbar punctures.
  • Admit for all services except Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Nephrology.
  • Participate in morning multi-disciplinary rounds.
  • Handle admissions and ED consults.
  • Oversee inpatient pediatric care, including rounding on the general pediatric floor.
  • Manage Hi-flo respiratory support on the floor and administer albuterol for asthma patients as needed.
  • Work with full subspecialty back-up, including a NICU and PICU on site.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Pediatrics or Pediatric Hospital Medicine required.
  • EMR System: Epic.
