Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Hospitalist Physician for a 4-day assignment in Ohio, beginning Jun 5, 2026. This role involves 24-hour shifts from 7am-7am, providing out-of-house coverage for a Special Care Nursery (NICU) and a well-baby nursery. Responsibilities include managing vents, intubations, administering surfactant, inserting chest tubes, attending C-sections/high-risk deliveries, and rounding on newborns and low-volume pediatric patients.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide 24-hour out-of-house Pediatric Hospitalist coverage.
  • Oversee a Special Care Nursery (NICU) and a well-baby nursery.
  • Perform intubations.
  • Insert chest tubes.
  • Administer surfactant.
  • Attend C-sections and high-risk deliveries.
  • Manage ventilators for 24 hours.
  • Conduct rounding primarily on newborns, averaging 4 hours per day.
  • Manage a low volume of pediatric patients.
