Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Hospitalist Physician for an engaging 15-day assignment in Ohio, commencing Jun 19, 2026. This role primarily involves 15-hour night coverage, focusing on inpatient pediatric care, including admissions, rounding, ED consults, and essential procedures like lumbar punctures. You will also manage night calls from the newborn nursery.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide 15-hour night coverage for inpatient pediatric patients.
  • Manage approximately 5-6 admissions per 24-hour period.
  • Conduct morning multi-disciplinary rounds with the care team.
  • Perform admissions for all services, excluding Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Nephrology.
  • Handle ED consults as required.
  • Perform lumbar punctures.
  • Respond to night calls from the newborn nursery starting at 5 PM, assisting with H&P as needed, but without newborn rounding.
  • Oversee inpatient pediatric care and rounding on the general pediatric floor.
  • Manage Hi-flow therapy on the floor.
  • Administer albuterol for asthma patients, including 2-hour administrations.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Pediatrics or Pediatric Hospital Medicine is required.
  • Experience with Epic EMR system.
