Job Description

We are seeking a Psychiatrist for a 104-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Jun 1, 2026. This full-time role operates from 8:30am-5pm, focusing predominantly on telehealth consults and follow-ups for patients with serious mental health conditions, including dual diagnoses, within a multidisciplinary team setting. The selected Physician will provide onsite care one week every two months, with patients attending telehealth sessions from the facility.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage a caseload primarily via telehealth, with patients conducting sessions from the facility.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary team interactions.
  • Participate in a full-service partnership model.
  • Provide onsite care for one week every two months.
  • Perform patient consultations and follow-ups; new patient exams are rare.
  • Participate in daily team meetings from 8:30am-9am.
  • Utilize dedicated time for documentation built into the schedule.
  • Treat patients with serious mental health conditions, including psychotic disorders, and those who are impaired or impoverished.
  • Manage a patient population predominantly with dual diagnoses (e.g., meth, marijuana, trauma), often experiencing homelessness and serious mental illness.
  • Ensure all patient notes are completed and submitted on the same day.
