Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care Needed in TX

Job Description

We are seeking an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 24-day assignment in Texas, starting Jun 6, 2026. This role involves serving as the sole provider for all urgent care cases and procedures, requiring immediate readiness to handle a wide range of patient needs. The schedule runs Monday-Friday from 8am to 8pm, and Saturday & Sunday from 8am to 5pm.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Function as the sole provider, ready to manage all urgent care cases and procedures.
• Ensure all charts are closed by the end of each shift.
• Manage a variety of urgent care cases.
• Perform in-office procedures including incision and drainage, sutures, foreign body removal, and toenail removal.
• Potentially provide occupational medicine services such as workplace injury evaluations and drug testing at some locations.
