Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care Needed in TX

Job Description

We are seeking an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day assignment with our client in Texas, starting Jun 10, 2026. This role involves managing all urgent care cases and procedures, working independently during 8 and/or 12 hour shifts, and ensuring charts are closed by the end of each shift. The ideal candidate will be ready to hit the ground running, providing comprehensive care including in-office procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage all urgent care cases and procedures without clinical training provided, ready to hit the ground running.
• Work as the sole provider.
• Close charts by the end of the shift.
• See B&B urgent care cases.
• Be comfortable and experienced with in-office procedures in an Urgent Care setting including I&D, sutures, foreign body removal, toe nail removal, and laceration repair.
• Handle occupational medicine services such as workplace injuries, evaluations, and drug testing at some locations.
