Locum Tenens Physician - Cardiothoracic Surgeon Needed in CO

Job Description

Our client in Colorado is seeking a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a 135-day assignment starting Jun 22, 2026. This role involves 24-hour call from 7A to 7A. You will diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and other conditions, providing or prescribing appropriate treatment. Key responsibilities include precise medical record documentation, providing leadership to the clinical team, and performing various cardiothoracic surgeries as required by patient needs.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Diagnose diseases, injuries, and other conditions using appropriate measures such as history, physical exams, and diagnostics.
• Communicate treatment options to patients, address concerns, and answer questions, maintaining a patient-centered approach.
• Accurately and completely document in medical records for continuing care, compliance, quality, safety, and billing.
• Provide leadership and feedback to the clinical team.
• Consult with colleagues and refer patients to other sources of care as clinically appropriate.
• Maintain availability for office visits, phone calls, electronic communication, and on-call coverage.
• Participate in ongoing organizational efforts for continuous improvement in quality, safety, and patient experience.
• Engage in continuous learning and self-improvement.
• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the client.
• Perform additional duties as required by the specialty.

Additional Information

• Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery is required.
• Experience with Epic EMR is preferred.
• Perform a range of cardiothoracic surgeries.
