Job Description

Our client in California is actively seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 60-day assignment beginning Jul 13, 2026. This role involves providing primary care within an FQHC, addressing common complaints, chronic conditions, and performing well-child checks. The schedule runs Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, with Fridays split between telehealth (8:30am-12:30pm) and a flexible remote or in-clinic session (12:30pm-4:00pm).


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive primary care within an FQHC setting, including rural health aspects
  • Manage diverse patient presentations, often involving multiple complaints per visit
  • Cover a sabbatical for an existing provider
  • Primarily see adult patients, perform kids physicals for school, and conduct well-child checks
  • Address a wide range of conditions including cold, cough, flu, hypertension, and diabetes
  • Offer care for homeless patients and the LGBTQ community
  • Perform annual check-ups


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Family Medicine is required
  • Experience with Epic EMR is essential
