Job Description

Our client in North Carolina is seeking a Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner for a 30-day assignment starting May 28, 2026. This role involves 100% outpatient clinical care in a symptom management clinic, providing critical support for hematology oncology patients experiencing acute side effects of chemotherapy, such as nausea, vomiting, and dehydration. The schedule is 7:30am-5pm with no call responsibilities.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide 100% outpatient clinical care
  • Care for hematology oncology patients exhibiting symptoms related to acute side effects of chemotherapy such as nausea, vomiting, dehydration, and fever
  • Maintain a schedule with no call responsibilities
  • Anticipate seeing 12-14 patients per day
  • Undertake no critical care responsibilities
  • Respond to patients who experience medication reactions in a nearby infusion suite
