Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Hospitalist for a 10-day assignment in California, commencing Jul 14, 2026. This vital role involves providing comprehensive general pediatric hospitalist coverage, including patient care across the Pediatric, OB, and ED floors, requiring an on-call schedule to support diverse patient needs.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide general pediatric hospitalist coverage.
  • Manage patient care on the Pediatric floor, OB floor, and ED floor.
  • Handle a wide range of pediatric conditions including asthma exacerbations, bronchiolitis, pneumonia, gastroenteritis, dehydration, and febrile seizures.
  • Address specific conditions such as urinary tract infections, failure to thrive, poor weight gain, jaundice, and diabetes (new-onset or DKA management).
  • Perform procedures including bladder catheterization for sterile urine collection, NG tube placement, and IV insertion/venipuncture.
  • Attend deliveries and provide neonatal resuscitation as required.
  • Manage ED admissions and patients in the observation unit.
  • Provide routine newborn care and facilitate transition of care from the NICU.
