Job Description

We are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist Physician for an exciting 42-day assignment in California, starting Oct 1, 2026. This role involves covering the pediatric ward, managing NICU cases, and providing emergency department consultations, with shifts ranging from 4p-7a to 9a-9a.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Cover the pediatric ward
  • Manage NICU cases
  • Perform emergency department consultations
  • Handle circumcisions (preference not needed)


Additional Information

  • EMR System: Epic
  • Shift Details: Various shifts available, including 4p-7a, 9a-9p, and 9p-9a, with a preference for 24-hour shifts at the second location. A minimum of 3-4 shifts per month is required.
  • Patient Load: The pediatric ward typically sees 7-8 patients daily (max 12 beds). The well baby space handles 12-16 patients. NICU has an average of 2-3 patients, and ER consults range from 2-6 per shift.
  • Facility Coordination: Teams work closely between two centers, utilizing a centralized transfer center.
