Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Surgery - Cardiothoracic Needed in CT

Job Description

We are actively seeking a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for a 91-day assignment in Connecticut, commencing Jul 20, 2026. This inpatient role involves varied 8-hour days from Monday to Friday, with potential call and 24-hour shifts. The Physician Assistant will perform essential duties such as pre-op physical exams, assisting in surgery, diagnosing and treating illnesses, ordering and interpreting tests, and coordinating care in a Trauma setting.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform placement of Central Venous and Dialysis Catheters, Placement of Arterial Lines, and Endoscopic Retrieval.
• Conduct Pre-Op Physical Exams and Suture Removal.
• Diagnose and Treat Illnesses.
• Order and Interpret Tests.
• Assist in Surgery.
• Write Prescriptions and Coordinate Care.
• Perform Rounding.
• Manage an average of 10 patients per day.
• Work autonomously without a supervising physician present.
• Operate in an inpatient-only practice setting at a Trauma facility.
