Job Description

We are seeking an Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 30-day assignment starting Aug 10, 2026, in California. The client needs an experienced provider to work a flexible schedule, covering weekends and some weekdays, with shifts of 10 or 12 hours. This role involves independently managing a high volume of high-acuity urgent care cases, performing patient evaluations, efficient case management, and accurate documentation, including essential procedures like laceration repair and fracture management.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Independently manage a wide range of high-volume, high-acuity urgent care cases.
  • Perform patient evaluations and efficient case management.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Execute required procedural skills including laceration repair and suturing.
  • Perform ingrown toenail removal.
  • Conduct fracture evaluation and management.
  • Perform incision and drainage (I&D).


Additional Information

  • Board Certifications: Emergency Medicine, Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP), Urgent Care
  • EMR System: Epic
  • Requires significant hands-on clinical experience, with several years in an emergency room or high-acuity urgent care setting. Experience limited to training programs, school-based exposure, or prior nursing roles will not be sufficient for this position.
