We are seeking a Board-certified Addiction Medicine Physician for a 264-day locum tenens assignment in New Mexico. This role starts on Sep 2, 2025, and features flexible day shifts from Monday through Friday. The selected candidate will engage in specialized duties focusing on substance use disorder (SUD) care, making significant impacts in innovative low-barrier care environments.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive care for patients with substance use disorders
• Engage in harm reduction and low-barrier care models
• Prescribe and manage medication-assisted treatment (MAT)
• Support models aligned with triage or sobering centers
• Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) alongside trauma-informed and person-centered care practices

Additional Information

• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as an MD or DO in New Mexico
• Board certification in one of the following is required: Addiction Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, or Family Medicine
• Experience in SUD care is highly preferred
• Familiarity with triage or sobering center models is advantageous
