The average annual geriatric NP salary is $69,212 per year in the U.S., according to a survey conducted by NurseJournal. The U.S. Census Bureau reports that the population of 65-and-over U.S. citizens has increased over ⅓ in the past decade, increasing the demand for this specialty.

Locum tenens geriatric NPs can make upwards of $92 per hour on average, however, there are many factors that impact rates including location, years of experience, and the level of demand.

If you were to extrapolate that rate over a year (at 40 hours per week), the average locum salary comes out to around $191,360
